Some Assembly Required

My organization has been waiting for some legislation to go through in order for The Big Project to go underway. If it passes within the next couple of hours we'll receive some clank (400K) from a foundation. If not, possibly all dreams of The Big Project will be flushed down the sewer to travel into the Hudson.

In order to amuse myself and see how progress is going, I tuned into the live coverage of the Assembly. I found it to be one of the most intersting and yet boring processes with topics that really weren't as of great importance as The Big Project. I am biased, to this I will admit. I heard an argument on the stadium project down in NYC complete with various people arguing about it; and some legislation about disallowing use of PVC/plastic piping in construction projects.
I have no comment on the legislation other than it was trippy to hear arguments among the assembly people, then their vote, then their explanation for their vote. It reminded me of a reality series where participants explained why they voted a fellow participant off the series. Or if it was a negative, a house meeting where you explain why you're going to blackball a pledge.
