Geek chic-k

I registered for another semester of torturous classes today. I'll be taking Advanced Web Design primarily focusing on Javascript, cookies, and DOM, oh my! To compensate for my geek-i-tude, I signed up for an equally geekesque class, Medieval History. I have been wanting to take this class for 3 years now and I am finally getting around to it, probably because I've exhausted all the English classes and art classes until next year.

I find that as a Libra I need balance, so I need to take a fine artsy fartsy or humanities class to cancel out the geek science/tech classes. Or in other words, cheese class with flambé class. Each semester I get all turned around about my path in career and hobbies. I'm decent at web design, bitchin with photoshop, mediocre with a camera, and sometimes extraordinary with writing. Perhaps this time around I'll be fully convinced that my calling in life was to be a wench in a dimly lit grogshop quick with some wit and quicker with knives.

Calling you wench makes me hot.

on the libra front I totally agree. I think some part of my problems come from a lack of balance in my life. during the week I either am working or vegging out at home. I got really excited over the weekend when I was talking to someone and they told me there are ceramics studios around that allow you to rent wheel time. Throwing clay on a wheel is one of the most cathartic, not at all sexual despite what ghost may have convinced some people, things I have ever done. If I can get some time on a wheel I will be very happy. plus based on what I have seen even simple bowls being sold for around here I could easily pay for the time and maybe even make a little extra.

Hey, I've got wench costumes and patterns (and Lady costumes as well). If you decide you want to get a little too involved with your Medieval History class (and maybe get involved in some SCA?) let me know. I'll hook you up, yo. Getting my sewing machine fixed soon.

I feel I should mention this comment took me five minutes to type because I've got a 15 pound cat perched on my chest who thinks if he sits there and stands up that I can't see the screen to type and each time I reach for the keyboard he nudges my hand away. too cute! Though a little annoying...
