July 29, 2003Best sign ever
As per promised by myself to Mer and Pat the best no smoking sign ever. This is what I call the Truth. 09:24 AM
CommentsTHat is a great fucking sign! Posted by: Groundzero at July 29, 2003 10:57 AM HA!!! Where'd you see that? Posted by: texasyankee at July 29, 2003 05:13 PM Mahar's in ALbany. Posted by: Groundzero at July 30, 2003 10:55 AM I saw that sign in Mahar's, and wished that I brought my digital cam - good to know someone possessed the forethought that I was missing. I just found your blog through that WebMeetUp announcement which I don't remember signing up for, but which nonetheless arrived in my e-mail. Glad it did, though - I dig the scene you've got here. Mahar's seemed bizarre without smoke - as did Savannah's the other night. It seems strange to be in a blues bar and not have a dim haze to peer through. Posted by: Tartrazine I'd agree - if my mother hadn't taken nine months to die of oat cell lung cancer, which her oncologist told me at the time is found only in cattle, and humans who smoke. I was 16. Now, I've never smoked, but if nothing else gets me I figure I'm sure to die of lung cancer as well, 16 years of second hand smoke can't be healthy. I miss you mom. Wish you could've met my wife and kids, seen the Internet, etc. You'd have loved it. I continued to get solicitations from the tobacco companies for the next four years, asking my mother to donate to support her "right to smoke". Posted by: markdall Post a comment
