Some day, one day I'll have a computer

On Friday morning, I rejoiced to find my income tax return happily pushing the limits of my bank account. I thought about the computer fair all day, plotting, scheming, determined to obtain a computer fast enough for the day I currently live in. Saturday, I embarked on a shopping excursion to kill time, hang out with Meredith and John, and perhaps spend a little of the bling that I was currently holding onto. I picked up these awesome red boots by sketchers for $30, and they're in my size which is even more impressive. That being done, came home, ordered food, hung out with *heeeyyyyyyy* Larry and passed out - hoping that the time would pass quickly until the fair.

Sunday, I woke up, got my shizze together and went in search of my components. I got an Athlon 2100+ XP, a GA-7ZXE mobo, a dvd rom, a totally phat case, and a Samsung 15" LCD monitor. Kristian bought me a video card for the computer as apart of the whole Anniversary gig thing. Overall it was a good day, and I got some great deals.

I had Kristian help me put together the computer, since I love learning about this shizze. Got it together, got it complete, popped in my old HD, got it formatting and there we go, installation error. Tried winXP, win98, and win2k - nothing seemed to work, except kristian got win2k going so I was able to check my e-mail Monday morning. That was it. Popped in the 8 gig last night, didn't work, nothing seems to want to be working with my now fast machine.

Hopefully tonight after some tweaking we'll find the problem. It's just so damn frustrating having a somewhat respectable system and not being able to use it. By the way, the monitor is gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. And the fact that I can carry it around the apartment in my left hand is such an awesome thing... now I must go and clean myself.
